I want to run away to the circus. There'll be lions, tigers, and bears1! And facepainting too2! Who's with me?

1 - OH MY!

2 - I'm going to get the picture of a wolf howling at the moon on my left cheek. It'll be classy. And EPIC.

Or maybe I'll just run away to Dallas... )

The Stargate Fan Awards have opened their doors for voting! If for some reason you haven't heard, or maybe have gotten distracted with the shiny that is Torchwood: Children of Earth (and it is shiny), worry not! Voting ends July 31, so there's still plenty of time to read all the fun stories, look at the pretty pictures, and watch all the fantastic videos that have been nominated this year.

I'm personally still waffling over my voting card, because almost all of the nominations are my favorite stories. It's like... choosing a favorite child. How can I pick between my favorite pirate AUs, western AUs, cyberpunk AUs, epic cracky slave team adventures, killer plant stories, and... oh, the whole lot of them, I swear!

I might have a few in there as well.

If you have time, go check out the nominee lists. Even if you don't feel like voting, it serves as a great rec list.

Dear Work Week,

Please to be stop sucking my soul dry, so that I may converse with my companions located far-and-wide in the witty manner that I am accustomed to. I additionally request the energy to finish answering comments and make a coherent post that is not addressed to a concept, which in some realms is worse than talking to inanimate objects. If this is too difficult, I kindly request a refund on the brain cells that were used as a safety deposit, as I feel that you have not held up your end of the bargain. There is every chance I might be in need of them next week, which by virtue of being shorter, looks to be much kinder to me.

Sincerely,

PS - I realize that it is in fact Tuesday, thus rendering one of the tags below null and void, but I'm going to maintain that it is still a Monday, as you've refused to give any portion of my brain back to me.

The day started bright, as I woke up to a pleasant morning drive, ...and really it's only about it being a Monday ) but I'm starting to look around the office suspiciously, waiting for the other shoe to come flying out of nowhere and smack me upside the head.

But on the bright side, I don't work in the City of Houston IT Department. Computer virus rampaging through the dockets? I think someone's head is going to roll.

Look's like my lunch hour is up. Cross your fingers, I'm going back in.

There is absolutely nothing fannish under these cuts. But there are macros, comics, and general babbling.
