Blu-ray drive... *drool*

[identity profile] greyias.livejournal.com 2009-01-19 04:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I knowww... it's got such pretty stats *pets*, but the HP has a touch screen and stow-away stylus (*also pets*) And the RAM, and the processors...

*goes off to hide in a g33ky hole*

[identity profile] trystings.livejournal.com 2009-01-19 05:12 pm (UTC)(link)
yeah, but .. blu-ray... *fondles*

Blu-ray is on my wishlist. With the scanner and the digital camera that I HAVE TO BUY before my cousin's flippin' Hawaiian wedding in March...

What recession?

[identity profile] greyias.livejournal.com 2009-01-19 05:21 pm (UTC)(link)
What recession?

We're helping stimulate the economy is all!

I keep putting blu-ray off, mostly because it's so ridiculously expensive. Also, if I get a taste of HD, there's a possibility I'll never be able to look at anything standard definition ever again. (I'm a quality snob, I'll admit it.)

before my cousin's flippin' Hawaiian wedding in March...

Hawaiian wedding? You get to go to Hawaii? Do you feel my ENVY? Does it burn?

[identity profile] trystings.livejournal.com 2009-01-19 05:53 pm (UTC)(link)
You get to go to Hawaii?

I went to Hawaii last year (didn't know about this wedding then), and it's a pretty expensive trip for an island with so little to do. But the whales are awesome, the weather is fantastic and the wedding location is gorgeous (and I have crazy fantasies about running into Joe and Jason at the Bad Ass cafe). Ten days Maui and ten days in SF; and that's it for the next two years. No mo' money.

But I will get that scanner! I have coupons. :)

[identity profile] greyias.livejournal.com 2009-01-21 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
My oh my, that sounds like quite the trip. I'm not sure I'd be willing to go back to work after twenty days playing in paradise (what? SF is paradise too!)

and I have crazy fantasies about running into Joe and Jason at the Bad Ass cafe

That would be one word: AWESOME.

No mo' money.

*iz sad on your behalf*

The Sony one looks much cooler to me. Yeah, looks aren't important, I know, but hey... it does look kinda neat!!

Though haven't you bought a laptop recently? Or does the mini-one not count?! (Or am I confusing you with someone else?! And is there such a thing as too many computers?!!)

[identity profile] greyias.livejournal.com 2009-01-21 11:48 pm (UTC)(link)
I have been giving it far too much thought this week, but looks are important. That's why there are no Toshibas or Fujitsus on the list *g*

*hangs head* Yes... it is me, and it certainly does count. I'm sure there's such thing as too many computers, I'm just not sure what that point is, especially for me *g* I think the reason I started looking is that the specs on these are amazing, and my own laptop is starting to get dated with what it can do (and I'm a resource hog of a user.)

Which one is the one with the fingerprint reader? The HP?

I still say you should get one of the new MacBooks XD they just dropped the price to $999!

[identity profile] greyias.livejournal.com 2009-01-21 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
The HP comes standard with the fingerprint reader, which knowing me and my paranoia about theft, is probably a very good option to consider. I checked Sony's site, and I could probably get the fingerprint reader on the model I was looking at for the same price.

Really? Where are you finding this price? XD I haven't disregarded the Macs completely, but they always seem so pricey in comparison to the other systems, at least for what you can get on a PC. Although... what's the boot-up/shutdown time on yours? I'm finding myself increasingly annoyed with bootup times.

Yo, it's the journal formerly known as ragabashtule.

I friended you.

[identity profile] greyias.livejournal.com 2009-01-24 05:10 pm (UTC)(link)
Friended back!

(And your icon XD)

All of my icons are black cat icons since Begemot (http://www.cyberussr.com/rus/begemot.html) was a big black cat. And my cat of the same name is a fatass black cat. He is cute.

Eee! Kitty! :D

Pets really make life so much better though. I think I would be certifiable if I didn't have my dog.

I just adopted him a week ago today. He is kind of dumb and likes to try and jump in my oven. When he's not trying to do that, he sits in front of it and meows at it.

[identity profile] greyias.livejournal.com 2009-01-24 06:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh... I miss cats and all of their insanity XD Maybe he just wants to get warm because of all of the ice and snow.

[identity profile] koshkabegemot.livejournal.com 2009-01-24 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
He spends a lot of time sitting up on the windowsill looking out at all the freezing weather. He's so adorable.

Now he's hiding under my bed since he doesn't want to be bothered.
