How is it the end of September already?

I was looking at the calendar this morning, and realized a little sheepishly that this Thursday was the day I had signed up to participate in [livejournal.com profile] sgabigbang's September promotion. Like usual, I completely lost track of time and therefore haven't given it too much thought (whoops). So, in the great tradition of [livejournal.com profile] greyias procrastination... I turn to my f-list and those random passerbys for help.

I could probably talk about the story and the universe it takes place in at great length, but I thought it might be nice to address any questions, concerns, or curiosities that people had (if there are any.)

For those who have read my epic monster (known in some circles as See No Evil), are there any burning questions you've been wanting to ask? Or possibly things you're mildly curious about -- be something within the story itself, questions on the writing process, why the heck I did X/Y/Z, where does everyone go from here, did I make my beta cry, or even how many meltdowns and writerly rants I forced my poor support group to endure? I'm pretty much game for anything.

Also, if anyone hasn't read it but has a question, feel free to ask as well. The more the merrier!

What was the initial image/scene that then spawned the rest of this most wonderful AU?

Would you consider a sequel? (If the answer is yes, consider me signed up as a cheerleader again...if you'd like!)

Have you done any more lolcat/SeeNoEvils (or whatever you want to call them!)? And have you shared the ones you've done with everyone, 'cos they were really good!

I completely forgot about the macros! Those are fairly cracktastic, but must be included XD

(If the answer is yes, consider me signed up as a cheerleader again...if you'd like!)

Be careful what you promise -- I might take you up on it ;)

SeeNoLOLs -- what do you think?

Sounds great to me! And yes, share them, share them!! *g*

No probs!!

You know, I think you might be the only person who's seen them all. Of course, I have to figure out where I put them, pfft.

Your website, if you post the story there? Here, on you LJ?

Ignore what was here previously, I was having a blond moment - and yes, I am blonde, so can get away with saying that!

Ohohoh, I totally second the call for a sequel! And I'll be a cheerleader, too. I have LOTS of experience (ask [livejournal.com profile] xparrot...though, um, as a warning, I can sometimes go a bit...er...overboard? *wince* especially when it comes to the h/c...people have noted in the past the tendency for um...the h/c levels to dramatically increase upon my joining the cheering squad. Um...oops? ^_-)

And question about "See No Evil," feel free to skip this if it's not what you're looking for...but, in the fic, was there ever any point you were tempted to take it...farther? In the McShep direction, I mean. It's probably my own personal biases/loves, but there were several moments that felt rather pre-slash to me ^_-.

And I'll be a cheerleader, too.

Haha... you have no idea what you're volunteering for. I'm surprised Leesa's asking again, especially with how many times she had to talk me down from that metaphorical ledge.

people have noted in the past the tendency for um...the h/c levels to dramatically increase upon my joining the cheering squad. Um...oops? ^_-)

Wait, is this a bad thing? ;)

And question about "See No Evil," feel free to skip this if it's not what you're looking for

Actually... that's a really good one! It was definitely something that came up *g*

Well, as [livejournal.com profile] xparrot just commented, reading over my shoulder, I've had to talk her down off of plenty of metaphorical ledges. Not being a writer myself, I get a major charge out of working through stories with people, cheering and squeeing and being a sounding board when things need to be worked out. Let's me be a part of a process I love that I'm not much good at myself ^_-

And occasionally lets me influence the story to my own evil, nefarious, h/ca ways. Buwahahahaha! ^_- Okay, so I may have an unhealthy h/c love? Oops? ^_- And in SGA, this means I likey my Rodney hurt...but seeing as you seem totally, happily, wonderfully on board with that, the cheer leading will be a cinch ^_-.

I get a major charge out of working through stories with people, cheering and squeeing and being a sounding board when things need to be worked out.

I have entirely too much fun trying to brainstorm solutions with someone else about corners I wind up writing myself into. And I almost need to have another mind to bounce things off of, because otherwise I wind up getting way too focused on inconsequential details.

Okay, so I may have an unhealthy h/c love?

Again, this is a bad thing? ;) Especially when it leads to more Rodney whump! (Actually, I sometimes have a hard time convincing myself to take the whump very far, because I'm afraid I'll kill someone without realizing it.)

*has no questions*

It's a great fic and I *still* haven't written a comment on BigBang. Talk about procrastination. *sigh*

Ok. One question: how do you write action scenes that read like a movie reel? I was literally short of breath after the motor cycle chase.

Did you take classes, courses, workshops or are you just naturally gifted?

I'm starting to realize that that livelongnmarry fic might just be the best deal I ever made (autographed that is *g*).

Ooh, good questions! :D

Talk about procrastination. *sigh*

No judgment from this corner! I somehow still haven't replied to the e-mail you sent me two weeks ago about it. *winces* I'm a bad e-mail friend.

I'm starting to realize that that livelongnmarry fic might just be the best deal I ever made (autographed that is *g*).

And just think, you can change your mind like ten times and give me a gabillion prompts... and I'll probably wind up writing all of them , because once I get an idea in my head it's hard to dislodge it. You could get like fifteen fics for the price of one!

I've been restraining myself from again asking about a sequel but since it's been brought up here...You know I want one!

[identity profile] greyias.livejournal.com 2008-09-24 05:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, I'll make an official answer on the sequel in tomorrow's post, in which you can freely pester me many times over XD Of course, if you wanted to ask about the content of possible sequels... no law against that.
