Stick a fork in me... I'm done!

Somehow...

...it totally happened.

The rough draft is El Finito, and hey, I don't completely hate the story anymore and want it to die a fiery death, so things are looking up.

The Final (probably to change during massive edits) Word Count:

Zokutou word meterZokutou word meter
81,323 / 40,000
(203.3%)

Um, yeahhhh... that's not a typo. Now I know I said I was totally going to wrap this up without approaching the 70,000 mark, but apparently some people had a lot to say, and in general don't shut up no matter how much I wish for them to so I can finish and get some sleep and I'm totally not bitter in my run on sentences.

I would like to thank the Academy...

Actually, in all seriousness, I owe a huge, huge thanks to a lot of people for their support during this, but I want to give a special shout out to three people in particular: [profile] twit1217, [personal profile] leesa_perrie, and [personal profile] kristen999. Without their constant support, research help, "Get some sleep, Grey", cheering, write-offs, "DON'T YOU DARE GIVE UP ON ME", cat macros, and emergency plot session cell phone calls, I'm pretty sure I would have given into despair and quit months ago. Thank you guys, seriously, thank you.

Now... now I can sleep.

I can't even begin to thank you enough for the research help, especially on John's past/future. I don't think the actual plot would have come together if you hadn't mentioned the possibility of test piloting for a private company.

Was so glad I could help but it really was those write-offs! Big thanks go to you for all those nights!

It was my pleasure! I definitely would have given up if not for those write-offs. They were a godsend. I'm so glad we both made it!

We Win!

We win everything. Seriously, everyone in our group passed the finish line. That's teamwork!

I'm curious to what the total amount of those who passed the finish line was. It looks like quite a bit more than last year.

I'm so excited that our group made it! I've been so brain dead..did I miss the post where Jade said she made it???

Got to go look, for all I know I commented! Go Group 11!

And if there is one more gen write that even makes it cooler.

Of course I've been in a panic now over wheather it was supposed to be coded! Guess now that it is too late I'll ask or e-mail since my was just a word doc like the post said...sigh :-P

Oh your wlcome on John's background...I already forgot I did all that a while ago! Ended p using it in a few one shots, so no problem!

And thank you for all the geek talk late at night!

Jade made it... I think our Saturday morning. I think we were both in a little bit of a fog that day, so I almost missed it myself.

I'm not worried about the coding, since after much staring at the wording of the post, it sounded like they were going to pass the files along to the artists. It makes sense, no need to code/upload everything twice, right?

And you're welcome for the geek talk! I'm not sure I really know what I'm talking about half the time, but I can sure try to make it sound good!

She fixed it after my post!

Oh, thank you!

It made me laugh though, because I've got the feeling some people will be reading it as pre-slash. Which you know, is fine by me... I know at one point I was staring at them going "No, don't you dare, this is Gen!" Thankfully they listened.

And I just noticed there's a fifth gen writer on there. Totally awesome!
