Oh, they definitely are! Not sure I would have finished that scene last night without it. I'm thinking I might come in closer to 50 or 60K when this is all over with.

I guess you could post a shortened one to the Big Bang if you don't have time to write in all the scenes you have envisioned, and then publish a longer improved version on your LJ? Not perfect, but it's one way of doing it.
Or else, you could put your life on hold and get the important thing done ... writing the story!!

That's because you get advanced copies! *g* If you think this guy is novel-length, though, you ought to see the SGA fic I'm writing that I actually envisioned as a novel! That one will never be completed, I swear.
But thanks to me accidentally forgetting to delete the story notes before sending you your copy... I guess you can see how much left I was wanting to tell (and why I'm not doing the Arm Flail of Happiness at 27K). I'm trying to work out what may can be cut without effecting the overall storyline. I'm thinking maybe trimming out some of the hanging out scenes. If I've got time I can go plug those in later.

So very seriously considering that! Just have to figure out how to make sure said life will be there when I get back ;)
