Misleading Spam Subjects, etc
Dear Brain,
"Enjoy Summer Debt Free" ≠ "Enjoy Summer Ferris Wheels".
Spam subject lines are misleading enough on their own. And seeing as how I don't have overwhelming feelings about ferris wheels one way or the other, I think it's safe to assume my mind was elsewhere when I nearly clicked that.
Marathon writing session at lunch brings me to:

Hush! That's 1200 more than I had this morning. Why I can write so much at work and not at home these days still puzzles me (and concerns me a little, because it's hard to break from writing mode after lunch is over). Hopefully my newly cleaned desk back at home will provide a new, soothing writing environment.
Comic Con tickets have been purchased, as has air fare. Still trying to solve that pesky hotel issue, but maybe a third wheel on our bandwagon will help ease that cost burden some. Next year I'm totally picking MediaWest Con, as something tells meMilwaukee Lansing will be a tiny bit easier on the budget.
Oh! And I listened to the first SGA audio drama last week. I'm surprised I haven't seen any reviews on that pop up yet on my f-list or communities (maybe I haven't been looking hard enough -- I have been in a daze the past week or so). Anyone else listened to it yet? Bueller? Bueller?

Ooo, which ComicCom are you going to? When? Not jealous, nope, not a bit!!!
And must go get that audio SGA drama ordered - though I have a feeling it might not be out over here until the end of May! Pre-ordering it tomorrow if I can.
Must go now, bed time... *yawn* But well done on the 1200 words!

Heh. I'm going to the one in San Diego at the end of July. It's the last year I know for sure they're going to have an SGA panel (getting a sixth season would be awesome, but I'm equally thrilled with getting to five). So the expense is justified in my mind, because OMG I NEED A VACATION! I never realized I was a workaholic until I looked at the calendar this year and realized the only day I have thus far asked for off was for jury duty.
I think you can purchase and DL the audio drama directly through Big Finish (http://www.bigfinish.com). I went ahead and ordered the whole series. Not sure if that gave me early access or not, but it appears as if the Daniel and Weir dramas are up for sale individually. I might make a review on the Weir one, since I did enjoy it for the most part.
And thank you! *squish* Hopefully I can keep up this pace for a little bit.

Comicon!! Yay you! I've sooo debated about going to being trated like cattle vs ALL the cool people and stuff....sigh. One day I'll go to one of these....maybe Burbank.

Burbank is probably much less crowded/overwhelming. I might be a glutton for punishment! My family is laughing at me and ruffling my hair, but then again I'm pretty sure my father went to a Trek convention or two, so he has no room to talk.
Congrats on 1200 words!!
Thanks! :D I went back and highlighted what I wrote and was like "...wow. I need to let Rodney's thought trains derail more often." I plan on retreating to my newly cleaned room later to see if I can continue the word pile.

I will admit that if I had the money I'd go to comicon just for the bigness of it all, but if I'm going to spend money on airplane tix, hotel and con stuff I want to go to one where Joe would be at and a smaller con so I could atleast meet him once.
I'd love to see both Joe, David, RL, Jason and everyone else on the shows I love, but thats not ever going to happen..lol Well maybe comicon, but I don't have the money right now.

I'm pretty sure there will be little to no meeting of the cast at Comic Con (if I were them I'd probably run screaming at the horde of sci-fi fans that are going to be crammed into that room), I think one of the cons that's run by fans would be a better avenue for a meet n' greet. I don't recommend the Creation Cons, as they charge you obscene amounts of many for an autograph and/or picture. Sure, it guarantees you one, but it doesn't give much time for interaction. I think GateCon might have a fairly good turnout on actors, but don't quote me on that.
I'd probably make a fool out of myself if I actually got to meet any of the actors, because I'd probably be trying desperately not to appear as a fan in the off chance I ever make the career move from the corporate sector to Hollywood, I'd hate to be remembered as "that crazy fan".

I used to live in Michigan, and then in a neighboring state, and I never once made it to MediaWest.

This is the first year I've been able to really afford to go to any cons, so we'll see how I feel about the whole affair next year ;)
