Cheap Airfare!

$238 airfare to Minneapolis. I deem this a worthy enough deal to book now! :D

(aka, I now have my airfare to Writercon. All that's left is the hotel room.)

Oh, and we also have our itinerary for Ireland more or less set now. \o/ I am not excited or anything. At. All.

Eeeee! Price drop to $260 for me! Thank you for reminding me! (It was $340 last week, and I almost purchased then -- I would have been so mad!) Purchased!

Also, Ireland! Hooray for you!

[identity profile] greyias.livejournal.com 2009-03-30 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)
You are very welcome! My airfare was also in the same range last week. I'm noticing they're dipping up and down depending on both the day and the week. Weird.

\o/ We are super airfare saving... cool people... things...

I've learned through work that the cheapest fares are Tuesdays and Wednesdays because businesspeople aren't flying to/from meetings and such on those days -- they head out Monday and return Thursday or Friday. Yet I was seeing the opposite pattern -- I guess I'm doing a reverse commute or some such??

I'm happy to be a super airfare saving cool people thing! It's Monday, it's drizzling here, I'm about to go to the dentist, everybody wants me to work on their super critical thing next ... articulateness is overrated, says me, when one needs to hold on to squee! (Which I am, fiercely. Yaayyyyy! Heh.)

I'd heard about that too. It's incredibly wonky right now, but that makes for some really good deals occasionally!

articulateness is overrated

WORFWORD.

It's about 3 PM here and I finally managed to wake my brain up enough to think of something that I could do today that wouldn't suck the will to live out of me.

Oh, and we also have our itinerary for Ireland more or less set now.

Am very jealous! May both trips be good ones! :)

Your jealousy warms my cold heart... and thank you! :D

When are you coming baaaack ;_; so I don't accidentally call your phone and you're like "wtf stupid I'm in Ireland" or something.

ALSO OMG did you happen to catch Family Guy last night? The entire cast of ST:TNG was there! GO WATCH if you haven't already ^_^ I peed myself a little, I think.

Technically we're leaving Thursday, although I'll be spending most of the day in JFK (bahhh), and we'll be coming back late next Saturday. We'll probably have roaming off on our phones, if we even have signal XD (I have memories of abysmal signal in Ireland.)

And no, I didn't =O I shall check out upon my return to the humble abode this evening!

Sounds like a fantastic deal. I hope you have a great time. (like I'm having. It's gorgeous here. Gorgeous.)

[identity profile] greyias.livejournal.com 2009-03-31 01:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Yay! I'm glad you're having a great time, even if it makes you semi-netless. Are you taking lots of beautimous pictures of the Hawaiian landscape for us? :D

And thank you! I'm really looking forward to both trips!

even if it makes you semi-netless

For someone who's on the internet 12 hours a day, I'm coping remarkably well. It must be the weather and the glorious views (and the fear that my family will follow the trail of slashy internet cookies on the one laptop we all use).

Haven't bumped into Flanigan yet. bummer. *g*

ETA: will post some beauteous pictures next week when I return to SF.
ETA2: are there no SGA reruns on SciFi? What's all this b/w 1940 show crap? What target audience are they appealing to? My Grandmother?
ETA3: and I'm reading books again! Books! (although I did bring a print out of Written by the Victors - still haven't read that one.)
