Music Meme
A post of real substance later! (Maybe.) But first... it's meme time! Yanked from
mumumugen)
Step 1: Put your media player on random. iPod in my case
Step 2: Post the first line from the first 20 songs that play, no matter how embarrassing the song.
Step 3: Post and let everyone you know guess what song and artist the lines come from.
Step 4: Strike out the songs when someone guesses correctly.
Step 5: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is cheating.
I think in this case, my iPod is revealing to the world how incredibly mainstream and boring my music tastes are (most of the time...)

How sad is it that I have a calendar on the computer to send me alerts for all sorts of mundane things - like not forgetting to go set up the DVD recorder in an hour's time!! Or to get something out of the freezer for the evening meal so that it can defrost! Etc and so on!!

Only #17 seems familiar - Pink, "Get This Party Started", right?
You are correct! Actually, there's a few others where the title is in the lyric.

That's it!
Is it cheating if the title is in the lyrics? :)
Nope, not cheating at all ;) Several of them actually have the title in the lyric.
I guess mainstream may be a teeny bit misleading, as they're not all on the Billboard Charts now, but they have been in the past. But with the exception of, hrm, three or four, all of these have had serious radio play time on either Top 40, Country, or Rap stations.

#2 is by Tara MacLean, Holy Tears. I'm thinking someone may have been a Due South fan. . . NOW I don't recognize any more. I promise.

Hee! Just a little bit. I love both of those soundtracks to death, and it depends on which day of the week which one is my favorite of the two.
