God, that opening scene, especially it's "surprise", god... the writers definitely love me you us, because yeah, I'm still a puddle o' squee.

Yes yes yes to the opening scene! I so wasn't expecting that. I did a double take all 'wait a minute! whaaat??' Then promptly died. Because I'm easily swayed by all things *censored* and such.

This ep is great cause you can totally pinpoint the exact moments whumpers and shippers alike will just fall down dead from glee. :D

The 'surprise' was so left field, partly because I swear, the thing-that-we're-not-actually-saying (which in proper grammatical terms is not a 'that') was a "not gonna happen" thing according to JM. Or maybe it was one of his sneaky, not-quite avoidance tactics.

I think there was probably at least three or four whumper/shipper/friendshippy moments in each scene. I'm not sure how many viewings it'll take before the shiny newness wears off, but I'll report back if I ever reach that point ;)

It almost felt like it was written for us, because this is everything I could have hoped for in an episode like this. I'm having a hard time being coherent enough past arm flailing, so I take that as a good sign ;)

But seriously? The 11th? I've been so sunk in the Big Bang (and finding out way more than I need to know about plant roots...) that I've missed all the squee. That's so close! Hoorah! And now at least I don't mind getting excited, not if it's actually good! For Torchwood and Doctor Who, I always keep my squee on 'low', just in case...

Oh, it's good. It's very good. I, erm, may have already watched it twice.

And I totally get you on the BB front, it seems to kind of take over all of my thought processes. To the point I really wasn't bothered about the premiere until someone said "leaked episode", and I was on-board like that.

And plant roots? :D My curiosity is piqued! July is so far away, yet way too close for comfort. I've broken 37K, and I'm starting to despair, because I should be so much further than I am. Stupid fight scenes.

I had to keep pausing so I could write out my sentence o' squee, then resume. Or pause and go "OMG!" and resume again.

I'm not sure what happened this time around, but I don't think it was iTunes, as they don't have Season 5 passes out for sale yet. Maybe a leak from one of the journalists with advanced copies? (Kind of like the Ark of Truth leak?)
