Camping, update 2

I'm a wimp, I broke, and I'm back in civilization. (Can I call it or what?)

My excuse is a sick mommy who would not be present to let the dogs out of their cages. And that it went from fricking freezing (okay, the internet claimed it was in the fifties, but I swear to god it had to at least be in the forties) to uncomfortably warm in the eighties, and somehow despite staying out of the sun I managed to get a sunburn. But really, it's all about the dogs, who are currently stirring up a ruckus of some sort out in the back yard.

I had fun-ish, but I'm very appreciative of my wireless internet and climate controlled house. Yes, yes, when the apocalypse comes and wipes out civilization as we know it, I'm going to be one of those people who are whimpering in the corner denying reality and becoming a drag on what's left of society.

I've accepted this, mostly because I'm in denial already.

You liked camping about as much as Rodney does, so you're in good company there!! Hope your mom feels better soon.

And if civilisation as we know it ends, I might just be there with you in the corner. I mean, no electricity = no TV = no SGA = no RODNEY!!! Oh the horror!! *g*

And no computers mean no internet friends - what, you mean I need to go outdoors and make real friends?!! *bg*

Mom's feeling better now, her stomach was a little wobbly Saturday night but had ironed out by Sunday. The dogs were very happy to see me though, and kept waking me up from my nap on the couch to let me know that.

what, you mean I need to go outdoors and make real friends?!! *bg*

Blasphemy!

Actually, as I had my cell phone/PDA phone with me, I kept checking my e-mail as if it were my tether to sanity. At some point it finally clicked with me that it was ridiculous to stay where I was so miserable, especially since the company out there... let's just say that his friends aren't usually the kind of people I'd hang out with.

And no TV/SGA/Rodney would be a dreary existence indeed. Thankfully it's not ours!
