More Photoshop procrastinaton tactics

I really need to be writing... but I can't help but keep messing with this picture. Sadly, I've got two or three other sketches of ones I want to try, but can't seem to tear myself away from this one. But I've stared at it for hours on end, so I'm sharing with the world.


The wallpaper looks more to me like a movie poster, but I definitely wasn't going for that in the beginning. Must be the dramatic poses. Yes, that's it. I originally had ghostly water molecules instead of just the formula, but they looked like Mickey Mouse, so I yanked them back out. Hrm.



I'm actually fairly satisfied with this one and have stopped working with it. Now if I could only do the same for the wallpaper.

I, er, may have also made a new icon out of the same elements. Maybe...

I think the banner/title one is great - and it does look better than the last one (that was great too, but I like the DNA strands in this one better, plus the background formulas).

The wallpaper one looks great too - really like it! You're so talented!

Now, get back to that writing...!! *grin* And where is the sequel to Thicker Than Water, hmm?!!

The ghostly DNA strands are more fitting I think, at least on the banner version. Not quite so overpowering. That background formula is, (I think) either the chemical composition for either blood or DNA. I was googling them all like crazy, so I'm not sure which one I wound up with at this point. I think maybe I've exorcised that crazy Photoshop bug now, so I can get back to writing... I hope. (I might be looking for pictures of Rodney with glasses ala SG-1's "The Road Not Taken", but I swear it's for the good of a story!)

Now, get back to that writing...!! *grin* And where is the sequel to Thicker Than Water, hmm?!!(Translation: In progress, but not anywhere close to complete.)

You would think there would be GOBS of promotional photography from that episode involving his sarxy glasses. Heck, you'd think I could even find some nice HD pic spam of him in his sarxy glasses. Why is it that I can find none of these?

I mean, I've got those sarxy glasses as a plot point, is it wrong to want to make a desktop out of them and Biker!Sheppard, in order to uh... oh who I am I kidding? I just want to stare at the pretty men.

Eee! Rodney with glasses! :D (I swear you'll understand why that amuses me so much after Big Bang is completed)

Any idea where one could find nice quality screencaps? There might be a fic banner in it for youuuuuu.

The two I use are Dedicated to Stargate (see screencaps links for both SG1 and SGA) and Stargate Screencaps.

Quality varies, but I haven't found any other site with better (except GateWorld, but they don't have lots of images, just some (have to look under each episode for them). Good quality though, and the occasional amusing behind the scenes one).

Ooh! I will have to check those out after work (so I do not suck up company bandwidth in my quest for glasses!Rodney).

I really miss the Emeridian website. The quality on those stills/pictures was awesome. Source Gate has a lot of the same uploaded, but it takes so long to download them manually...

Of course, I could not be a lazy bum and pop in the DVD for myself seeing as I bought the ridiculously huge box set... but caps never turn out nearly as pretty.
