I fail at McKay-sitting
Was looking for some hi-res images since my (and I'm sure everyone else's) favorite SGA photo site bit the bullet a few months back, So I was poking around on the MGM site, and noticed their little flash games. They're like Chip's Challenge for the Stargate Geek (or this week's is). I totally missed out on the first three (assuming they didn't start this just last week), although I'm wondering if they were nearly this, erm, difficult. Since it's lightly episode based (in this week's case, "Doppelganger"), my 'job' is to protect McKay and cure Sheppard of his evil-grin sporting Doppelganger. Unfortuantely, I suck at strategy-based games, so I keep getting the "game over" screen,
Needless to say, I'm quite frustrated (but not giving up!), and thoroughly amused at the same time.
Oh, and on a completely different train of thought, I saw Dale Midkiff's name last night on CSI: Miami, and eagerly awaited seeing what ol' Buck was up to in the Sunshine State. Then I either missed him, or totally didn't recognize him. Sad. There went my whole M7!Squee post.
Back tonot killing McKay in-game.
ETA: There's more than one level. The crack-type addiction of this has increased, and I really want the tiny caricatures as a lj-icon now...
which is a still of McKay flat-lining.

McKay-sitting
(Anonymous) 2007-10-24 01:06 pm (UTC)(link)Anyway, that game is addicting. You're right, this was game number 4. My favorite was the first one. I wish there was the option to go back and play the old games but you can't...or at least mostly-computer-illiterate I can't find a way to do it. But I've found something I'm pretty good at. I'd have to say I probably pass at McKay-sitting but barely.
Wonder what ol' Buck was up to in Miami. Jodi got my all excited the other day as she was watching Lifetime (as usual) and some movie with Ezra came on so I thought, "Hey, Ez got a new job." Nope, it was from 1998 or thereabouts. But I didn't even get to watch it - had to cover something for work. And as much as I love Eric Close, I just can't get into his Martin character.
Okay, now I HAVE to get to work.

...never.
And there were more? Sweet! But oh noes, I missed them! What was the first one? It would amuse me to no end if it was somehow a play on Asteroids. Did we get to see Repliweir?
As for Bucklin, I broke down and googled it... what was he doing in Miami? Getting murdered! He's the victim, Gutchberg! And now I'm floored that I completely didn't recognize him. What's worse is we already deleted it off of Tivo, so I can't go rewind to see if he looks that different. I mean, I know there's no 'stache, but I still recognize him on other stuff!
Hee, Lifetime. Er, don't tell her I giggled about watching Lifetime. I ♥ Eric Close too, but it seems Without a Trace is a "if it's on" kind of thing for me. Seems Buck and Ezra are the ones I miss the most when I see them on TV, and I think everyone is JD. Nathan crops up in the most unusual of places though.
You know, come to think of it, that's at least two of our M7 boys that have showed up on CSI: Miami. Wonder if Martin will ever fly over to Miami for crossover. Would be interesting.
Re: McKay-sitting
It has been 10 years since Mag7, so Dale does look a bit older. His hair was cut short, much like it was in Love Comes Softly, and it had been grayed. He looked every inch the retired football hero who has gone slighty to seed. His voice is still that lovely liquid velvet, and in a shot of his body in an MRI chamber you could clearly see his wonderful shoulders.
However, his part was sooo small. A short phone conversation, then knife to the neck. He had several scenes of playing a dead body (very hard for me to watch) and a couple of short flashbacks.
As usual, he was better than the material. Won't someone please give this man work equal to his looks, talent, and soul!!
