This morning I had the most awesome idea while driving to work. This makes the third idea I've had for [livejournal.com profile] sga_genficathon, which is actually a much better idea than the second, and hits on a lot of the same points. (The bonus here is I already have a plot to fit this one). Sadly, it will take a little bit of research, so I can't quite start today (but I'm already bookmarking things). But the words are in my head, the flow and feel of the story and characters are readily apparent, the need to type is like an itch, humming just beneath my skin. This is what the best inspiration feels like to me. An itch that just has to be scratched.

(So, apparently Fic-That-Ate-My-Soul might take a backburner if this keeps up.)

In unrelated news, I woke up this morning with the biggest urge to climb into a hot air balloon and see where the wind takes me. Seeing as how I am a teensy bit acrophobic, this is puzzling. I'm sure it's just a Monday, and this too will pass.

Hee, seeing as I'm rather acrophiliac, that sounds like a wonderful idea! Always wanted to go in a hot air balloon... ^_-

Good luck with the fics, very much look forward to the finished products! ^_^

*grin!* I thought about my 'Dave Sheppard' prompt while driving to work. We should pay attention to the roooooad!

Three ideas for the genficathon sounds like a luxury! I'm glad you get to scratch!

Hee! But we are paying attention to the road -- we're just doing other things too! ;)

What can I say? It's a really inspiring prompt. (I know some people are having trouble... poor kids, they probably got one of the ones I submitted.) Although when I thought through it a bit more over the day, I'm not sure it quite fits the genre. Eheh, whoops. If it turns out that way... bonus round! :D

There's just something rather alluring about flying on the wind, completely separate from the rest of the world.

Hahaha, thanks! I'm rather interested to see which one is going to win the fist fight on what gets written first.

Hmmm. I got awfully distracted though. I almost missed my exit. *g*

I'm not sure it quite fits the genre.

Well, if anyone can pull off a humorous death fic, you can. Go with your itch I say. ;) When is it due?

Oooh, looking forward to the fics, whatever order they get finished in! And lucky you, to get a prompt like that! Mine, eh, well, loose interpretations are allowed, thankfully!! *g*

Hrmm, it's sounding like thinking about Dave Sheppard should be a stationary activity ;)

When is it due?

Well, [livejournal.com profile] sga_genficathon stories are due April 20th, so I still have plenty of time to work on them. stories (aka Fic-That-Ate-My-Soul) are due end of March (although finishing them end of February gets you extra special points in the form of art.)

(this was all typed on an iPhone keyboard, aren't you proud?)

If you did it while driving, I sure am! :D

20 April is perfect. I'm on a very short internet leash between 21 March and 18 April. It would probably be best if I brought my own laptop on this trip, but I need to get one first. And I also need, yes *need* a scanner, an iPhone, a digital camera and a drawing tablet. And Sheppard action figures. *denies global financial meltdown*

They're not giving you art if you post end of March? Nou zeg. What comm is this?

Um... sadly there is no tactile response on the iPhone keyboard, so no... not that suicidal.

*nods sagely* I know not how you have survived so long without them. (OT: I've found some really inexpensive scanners on Amazon. Or were you looking for specific functions?)

Haha... one that started back in January? I'm just a lazy, procrastinating bum, who decides to write epics instead of shorts.

*g* Well, I guess it's luck of the draw. Hopefully one of them will get finished. I just haven't been able to stay awake after work this week, so who knows?
