It's interesting, recent studies have shown our generation and those younger show improved multitasking/factoring in multiple stimuli much better thanks to an increase in input, tv, video games, computer, constant music with walkmans and MP3 players, etc. But, conversely, we do have shorter attention spans and *require* more stimuli to hold our attention.

...also the fact that I'm a proud member of E.A.P. (easily amused people...oh look, BUBBLE WRAP...shiny things, whee) doesn't help ^_-
