Honestly, I think some producers see a show like Grey's Anatomy, where people get invested in the romantic relationships, get really popular and they think "Well that's it! That's the secret!", just like everyone thinks because it has pirates or fantasies a movie is going to sell well.

I'm with you on friendships. I think they're a lot deeper than a lot of romances that I see (at least on tv... and a few in real life). But I could get on a soap box about this, so it's probably best I restrain myself ;)

Joe Mallozzi has said there isn't going to be any actual romances this year with the exception of Rodney and Katie (meh...), but then again, I swear he lies, because there's this picture I've seen from "Quarantine" that totally trumps that. For now though, I guess I'll just hope for a newer, less frustrating poll.
