Well, my jailbreaking efforts for my iPhone last night were (eventually) successful, thanks in part to some very helpful tutorials. Jailbreaking software, for those who don't have a g33k dictionary handy, is the process that allows people who own iPhones and iPod Touches to run unofficial code to bypass Apple's sometimes paranoid, sometimes not strangehold on its operating system. In other words, I hacked my phone. And yey, it was good.

However, since this was my actual cell phone that I use for a lot of daily tasks, it was slow going because I needed to be sure I would still function, and so I didn't finish until well past midnight. However, true to my word, this morning I took pictures of what had my squeeing and flailing last night in the early hours of the morning.

My g33kery, it bleeds through even the cut. )

Public Timeline by [ profile] sabinelagrande and [ profile] arymabeth

The episode "Grace Under Pressure" retold as a Twitter public timeline. Crack, silliness, popcorn theft, and snorfling abound. I made the mistake of reading this morning before work and A) was nearly late as a result and B) woke up at least one member of the household between my snickering and laughing out loud.

Pairings: Weir/Caldwell, Lorne/Zelenka, one-sided McKay/Carter, O'Neill/Carter, Vala/Daniel, and John/Rodney

SGA. I love you.

I really do.

Spoilers for Brain Storm, with squee harshing for the end of it and The Shrine )

In conclusion: I love you show. Why do we have to fight?

Now that I've gotten that off my chest, maybe I can make my regular post o' squee in a little bit. Also! I need to make a birthday post o' squee, because I got presents! :D

Okay, I've learned the trick to initial viewings of Joe Mallozzi episodes: drinking.

No, seriously. He's brilliant when I'm sloshed (okay, on my way there. Have to start celebrating early, right?) I mean, yes, I still guess everything way before it's revealed, but it's because he and I are MIND TWINS1. That's it. Or the margaritas.

Perhaps slightly inebriated ramblings under the cut. But lots of ♥ too. Because this is me after all. )

My reaction to "First Contact" is scattered throughout other posts, but before I forget, I figured I would make a quick reaction post. In no particular order, the big giant hearts:

Overall, awesome episode, and one I'll definitely be rewatching. I have faith that anything I have forgotten to mention, the rest of my f-list will.

The SGA Meme seen 'round the world!:

When you see this, post a quote from Stargate: Atlantis in your journal.

"I'm still trying to understand how you thought it was a good idea to test this device by having someone throw you off a balcony."

"Oh, believe me, that's not the first thing we tried."

"I shot him." John gets the dreaded Mom look. "In the leg!"

It was at this point in the series where I fell head over heels... for John, for Rodney, for their crazy boyish antics, and the whole show itself! I've actually lost count of how many times I've seen "Hide and Seek". It has yet to get old.

I've managed to offically wean myself off of spoielrs for the rest of the season. So to satsify that addictive, WANTNEEDNOW portion of my brain, I've concocted a list of all the things that would MAKE MY MILLENIUM if it just so happened to appear on screen. A few of them are beyond pipe-dream status, and no, you cannot judge me.

Some spoilers for the first six episodes of the season. Maybe updated if for some reason TPTB are reading my mind and grant some of my list.

Slightly more coherent (but still pure squail) thoughts on The Shrine. I might be able to write full sentences at some point.

...and there's more but this is still from the initial viewing! (I'm out of town this weekend, so I'll have to sneak it in later.)

Still been feeling pretty down today, despite my bright outlook on the future both fannishly and in real life. (Tomorrow brings new wonderful likely squeetastic SGA, as well as a trip to DFW to talk over... future living arrangements possibly)

To combat the non-renewal blues, here are a few posts of that lift my spirits:
[personal profile] medie  is running a Spontaneous Love Meme! (And you know, feel free to drop me some love too if you're in the mood.)
[personal profile] xparrot 's warm and fuzzy [community profile] mcsmooch : One Day Away
[personal profile] sholio 's heartening post
[personal profile] telesilla  is hosting the Second Annual Blanket Fort Day
[personal profile] sheafrotherdon  has a snuggle post

Fandom, you are awesome. I love you.

If I have time when I get home from work, I might try and add to the warm fuzzies. Not this week, but perhaps next week would be an opportune time for that "impromptu" snarkathon I've been wanting to do for a while. However, for now, some lolcats:

Note: all pictures in this post have been shrunk down in size and/or cropped for better web viewing quality. I've got some, er, super hi-res versions on my comp, that are about 1.1 MB each, over 400 from the SGA panel alone. A future picspam, with HQ images could be in the works, all depending. However, I make no guarantees on my photography skills.

Because when you can't seem to write, that means it's time to bust out Photoshop!
